Are those sounds stock?
NO they are downloaded sound files from the ESU Loksound website. They have about 5 different 567 sound files so each engine sounds unique. Loksound decoders are blank and you can use them however you want with the Lokprogrammer. Unlike TCS or Tsunami that have preloaded same sounds and horns. Decoder is a 21 pin 58429 Loksound 5. I use the same decoder in steam or diesel. Initial investment in a lokprogrammer is needed if you want to re-purpose a decoder with another loco soundfile or easily program lighting features and saves a backup of your project file in case a decoder does go bad you can clone a new decoder. I programmed these to turn on/off marker lights and numberboard lights automatically on engine start/shutdown via the Free Lokprogrammer software. Lokprogrammer hardware and decoder Tester is about the price of a good DC loco....worth every penny.

I have got to say, the Alco DL-109 class of Diesel Cab Units look very good. I like their long Angular Noses that are reminiscent of Most Cab Units, but still distinct. And I like how long it is.

Which Scale Sound baffle did you use? The BLI Stealth sharknoses to my knowledge come with a speaker
You are correct...however the stock speakers are not as good as Scale Sounds speakers. Check Scale Sounds Website for the BLI Baldwin Shark Speakers. Way worth the upgrade!!

No. But leaving the tube in it will effect the master cylinder as it gets pushed into it over time. I still have no issues today in 2024 since I did this.

No I installed the decoder and downloaded the soundfile into it from the Loksound Website.

I did this. Now my Loco won't move at all. No headlight, nothing. It takes cv changes but acts as there's no power to it
You need to remove it from track power after a reset.
Thats actually an Alco S-1 theres no such Alco locomotive that is ever called an S-5
Sorry...You are wrong. They were Alco DL 421's Built 1954. 7 were built. The B&M owned most of the ones that were built. There is also Alco S-6 that are similar. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ALCO_S-5

Excellent scenery work, how big is the layout?
It's a folded dog bone style to prevent use of Lift bridges. Dog bone ends are about 6 feet wide and longest run about 20 feet.

Great layout and locomotives!
You need some dialog in this video. Could you spell out what this actually does? Am I seeing that F4 decreased the sound and the speed? At the end you turn the speed to zero and the sound winds down. Is that also affected by the Dynamic feature?
I'm still learning the features but what you see is f9 and f4 activate dynamic feature for acceleration and decel...from what I see.
Does the projects sound file have to be set up to take advantage, or just update the decoder firmware, set the new CV's and it works? Thanks for the demo.
You have to update to latest firmware of Lokprogrammer software then enable the button under Dynamic Sound Control "based on acceleration and brake time" in lokprogrammer then set CV200 to value 255. Then place the loco on your layout and hit f1 it will travel a few feet then stop. Then it should work. I set trigger function to f9 and f4 under Dynamic Soubd Control settings menu.

The GP40's on the B&M Roster were originally PC,Later Conrail.Purchased in the Mid 80's.
Some GP40'S were bought by B&M-- the other ones came in after Guilford started up.
